The Yule Ball; what a blasted event. All it was, was an ideal opportunity for the well-liked and popular students to showcase their dresses, suits and dancing skills in front of everyone else who weren’t fortunate enough to possess such things. It was a rivalry between the girls and boys who wanted to be chosen by one of the champions as their date. It was just a silly excuse to dress up and live in a reality that only existed on one day. Nothing would change afterwards, it all lived within those hours and nowhere else. Dates would be forgotten, kisses would be erased and smiles would turn to frowns the next morning.
