listen up, because this is about the millionth time we’ve come back to this and i swear that my heart is actually shattered and i’m not fucking being dramatic.

as someone who aspires to become an author, do you guys know why i write fanfiction? for obvious reasons, yes. because it’s fun. because i love the characters. because it brings me happiness to be in a community that celebrates this instead of discouraging it.

but i also write fanfiction because it helps me to explore different forms of writing. i try out different styles and experiment with formats to see what i like, to see what others like, and to try something new for myself. i like to push the boundaries and experiment with my words and see how creative i can be.

so for someone out there to take advantage of that, while all i, and other writers and artists, are trying to do is bring happiness to people and to ourselves, i hope you fucking know how terrible you are being.

if you don’t know the word “plagiarism”, i suggest you look it up. it’s against the law. that’s right, the law. i don’t care if you’re reading fanfiction, a poem, a short story, a medical journal, academic text, a lawsuit, whatever. if you FUCKING TAKE THE WORDS OF IT, YOU ARE PLAGIARIZING.

so please, please just stop it. i can promise you that if you keep this up, the works you steal will vanish and the writers will stop, and one day you’ll have nothing left to post, because everyone you stole from will have stopped writing due to your terrible actions.

and then you’ll really have nothing.
