Hiii Alexa!! I’m thinking about starting my first ever fic for Fred, so I was wondering if you had any advice? I’ve only ever written Draco and Ron, so I’m a bit stuck.

hi love!! ohhh, that’s so exciting! here are a few tips that have come in handy when i write for freddie:

  • remember that he is incredibly smart and his character goes much deeper than the “childish, immature prankster” image that a lot of people see him as. he is a very talented wizard and has been since he was quite young.
  • read other fred fics! i am always insanely inspired by the way @ickle-ronniekins and @theweasleysredhair write their fred fics — always so in character and you can practically visualize and hear his voice when you read their work!
  • re-write! i always go over my fics a million times to make sure that their tone and their vibe is what i am aiming for — fred is a fun, bubbly spirit and unless you’re writing angst, try and aim for the same sort of energy!
  • have fun! he is such a genuine, complex character once you start to analyze his traits and habits — it’s never a dull moment when writing for fred weasley!

hope this helps!🤍💕🥰

my friend you are so sweet! i adore you. thank you for your kind words 💛 and nonnie i’m so excited for your freddie fics! 🥰
