I don’t mean to ask this and step on any toes since things are a bit fresh right now, but you’ve been reblogging people who have had their work stolen, so I wanted to ask this. Is there a way to tell your work’s been stolen other than just searching through random wattpad books to check? I’m new to fandom and don’t know these things yet. Thank you in advance if you see this, and I hope you have a good day
hi lovely! thank you for your message! you’re definitely not stepping on any toes at all – it’s such a confusing time and i love that you’re seeking answers.
unfortunately, as far as i’m aware, the only way we’ve been able to find out that our work has been posted elsewhere has been by searching the tags on wattpad, which is super tedious and annoying, but we have been able to find countless accounts on wattpad that have been posting our work.
having said this: if anyone who is reading this knows a different way of going about trying to see if your work has been stolen, please let us know!
