okay hear me out – maybe that’s their catch phrase, the reader and fred. maybe they’ve known one another since they were young and when they’d both get called in for dinner they’d make a plan to meet up on the hills outside the burrow later on in the evening to look at the stars and goof around, and they’d say “meet you there!” maybe fred’s a year older, so the reader’s super upset when he gets to go off to hogwarts and she’s stuck at home for another year and he just gives her loads of hugs and is just like “it’s alright, i’ll meet you there!”. then of course in school they start dating, and he’s leaving and she’s so damn proud of the business but is also super upset and is hoping to have her own business on diagon alley one day, and what does fred say of course, before kissing her sweetly? “meet you there, love.” and then the war – where nothing could have prepared either of them for what happened to him, no matter how many times they tried, no matter how much he promised… she was certain they were going to be able to get married and have tons of kids but now it’s been taken away due to voldemort and his army. she just prays, though, that he’s in a better place. and she lies across him, the heat of his body still evident in his hands and his cheeks, and she kisses his forehead with tears streaming down her face before whispering to him, “meet you there one day, freddie.”
