11. what’s an inner joke you have with your friends?

oh god far too many to count—okay so there was one time i was trying to explain something to a friend of mine about some type of food and i legit could not think of the words i was looking for, and i was so flabbergasted that i wasn’t even able to explain myself, and i was basically doing that scene from friends where phoebe’s like “you know the thing with the stuff!!!” and everyone’s like ????

so i literally said to my friend “remember the thing all those years ago, when we were really little, the stuff!” (and as you can tell i was not even remotely describing food) but somehow she knew what i was talking about and she goes, “oh, yeah, the cauliflower” and i was like !!!??!?! and we CRACKED UP

it’s not even funny in the slightest to anyone outside our circle but we laugh about it all the time because we had this strange friend telepathy going on when i couldn’t find my voice or words lmao
