7. Name 3 stories you found difficult to write.

oooooof okay, here we go nonnie—

• george’s soulmate au, clarity, was hella difficult. it took me, like, three days. i kept changing things, rewriting and editing, taking things out and changing dialogue/journal entries, going back and forth on what i wanted the au to be/how they finally revealed themselves to one another.. i did consider having george’s memory be the one who took the hit, but—i needed him to be able to converse with fred (who lived, duh) so.. there you have it. took a while, but it’s by far one of my favorites i’ve written.
• a mental health piece focusing on anxiety with fred, called chaos, proved to be extremely difficult to write—i do struggle with anxiety so in that aspect, it was easy to pull from my own perspective and experiences, but writing about mental health can be extremely tricky—for many reasons. everyone experiences mental health differently—no two people think the same, so… that was hard. also, i was trying to pick and choose my words very carefully so as not to offend anyone, especially because mental health as a discussion seems to be viewed as “taboo” in the eyes of the public, so—i tried to make it as generic as possible whilst still trying to get my point across in a caring and loving matter
• i wrote this piece called empty where the george has feelings for the reader and the reader has feelings for fred and basically everyone was unhappy and heartbroken and it was AWFUL to write (i mean i loved it, but seriously—so bloody heartbreaking) and it’s so sad when i think back to that and imagine if it actually happened? people have asked me to write a second part but i literally cannot bring myself to do so because i genuinely do not know how to make anyone happy with an ending lol
